about

This acousmatic composition expresses the human condition by shedding visibility on the issues in the lives of climate refugees as they await aid at refugee camps and live in the open air without a house, tent, or shelter. Based on first-hand accounts of journalists covering the disaster in Pakistan and the UN Secretary General’s urgent appeals for flood relief, it shares the risk of human trafficking, high trauma on children, and the absence of safe spaces for women. The composition ends with a prayer to alleviate human suffering and the significance of service.
